Beginning with the Cajon drum.

I’ve been promising my self for about a year now that I’d buy a Cajon drum. It’s a very versatile instrument but I admit, it’s not particularly suited to the standard Irish traditional music session. After window shopping for low-cost drum kits online for an excessive amount of time, I finally bought it a few days ago though.
All I have to do now is find somewhere to play it. After I’ve practiced for a few weeks of course.

Here is my first recording. Don’t judge it too harshly. I’m only starting with it. I wanted to give you a sample of the versatility of this weird drum that’s shaped like a box that you sit on to play.

Be kind! It’s my first recording on the Cajon drum.

How excellent! Sounds perfect to me, I just can’t believe I’ve never laid eyes on one of those before.
