From the dogs perspective.
Christ that was some weekend!
Friday night, they took me to a pub in Clontarf that I hadn't been to in months. Unfortunately though the friendly Chinees barmade wasn't there so no one offered me water in a pint glass for a change. I also didn't get half as much attention! I got to see the people I use to work with before Darragh move jobs to the buildings with all the steps.
Saturday, they left me outside in the back yard while they went to the recycling center. Thank god! They didn't get home until 4AM on Friday night and the crazy humans were back up at 10! NO ACTUALLY, EMMA GOT UP at 7 FOR A MINUTE! COME ON PEOPLE! A DOG NEEDS HIS REST! ON Saturday night though, the two of them sat outside from half six until ten o clock and I got more attention from both of them than I've ever had! I think the last time Darragh rubbed me like that on my back was when I was sore a few months ago! It was funny! I felt fine! I don't know what all the attention was for! I didn't mind though. I moved around in circles until I got dizzy so he could rub every part of me. On Sunday, I wanted the same attention but they were busy so althought they gave me a few rubs, it wasn't as nice as Saturday.
ON Sunday afternoon after deciding not to buy a Cockatiel because the one in the shop was too old to be taimed or trained, they baught me to the beach! Oh, that was definitly the highlight of July for me! I've asked Emma nicely to send them to Darragh so he can post them.
This morning it's back to work and all the stuff associated with it. I have a small rant here now. Sorry if you dont' care about the hardships suffered by guide dogs but I don't get enough oppertunity to write on this so now is my time to rant. They've installed these new shiny machines that DArragh tells me are for ticket validation in Pearse station. The problem is that their too narrow! I cant walk through them the way I was trained to walk while guiding Darragh without scraping him off the right side! I hate this! It's not fair! He hasn't given out to me yet because I think he understands that I'm doing my best but what do they expect a dog to do! Just another inch! That's all I need to work properly! I even rub up against it my self to give him more room because if I didn't he'd walk straight into the side of it but that's all I can do! This morning I curved in to his right so he'd slow down and I therefore had more time to judge the size properly but it doesn't matter what I do to stop it! THere just isn't enough space! Of course, we could use the wheel chair accessible opening but that's all the way over at the far wall. Darragh tells me that we need to get out of the station as soon as possible or we'll have to stand at the lights for too long and we'll be late for work so I don't think he wants to go over that far!
That's my rant over. For now.
Here are the pictures that Emma took of me yesterday.

Darraghs' walking out into the water with his hands in the air and I'm jumping along side him trying to get it out of his hands! Their just a bit too high though! He's a crewel little ********** at times!

As you can see, I'm really jumping! My paws and everything are out of the water now trying to get the ball out of his hands but I just cant get high enough!

Humans are silly aren't they? Darraghs' still wearing all his clothes and he's up to his knees in water! I'm still trying to get that damn ball though!

Darragh's finally thrown the ball! I'm running after it out to sea! Ah, that's why he's almost up to his waste! he's making me go out far enough so I'll swim!

The balls here! It's at my paws! Pick it up! Pick it up! Come on come on come on! what are you waiting for?

Here's the toy! Can we go play? Please?

I'm looking at the ball! I'm going to get it darragh!

I'm going to get it! Look how wide I can open my mouth!

I'm practically flying I'm running so fast! I'm going to get it! It's in my sights! I'm going to get it!

It's in the air! I'm going to get it! Now, where's the best place to leap from.

It's up there! How the hell am I suppose to get it way up there for god sake! Really these humans have unrealistic expectations. b

I'm nearly there! I've almost got it! It's near my nose! I can smell it!

I'm running! The balls just an inch from my nose! It's so close I can taste it!
bb

I got it but then I lost it again! Stupid dog mouth! It bounced out again!

I've finally got it! It's in my mouth! I'm running back to Darragh! Not too fast though. I'm tired after all that jumping and swimming.
So there you have it! That was a lot of pictures wasn't it?
Sorry if your reading this post and your not a dog lover. You'll not really get the humer behind it.
